Metri Bio CEO and co-founder Ashley Abel is co-first author of a new review in Nature Biomedical Engineering on endometrial modeling and endometriosis. The paper traces how endometrial models have evolved, from early 2D cell cultures to next-generation organoids and multi-lineage assembloids, and explains why these human-based systems capture physiology that animal models often miss. Ashley co-authored the review with Adriana N. Vélez Avilés and Yale professors Berna Sozen and Hugh Taylor.
